I think Karen’s piece is one of the most beautiful paintings I’ve ever seen. All the details, to me, make me want to study the piece. I disagree that she should have simplified it in places. Mind you, I’m not an expert. However to me, a sign of a “successful “ painting is wanting to keep looking at it and meditate on it. I think it’s really gorgeous as is and I hope that Karen continues to do details like the ones in this painting in her other works. I love everything about this work.
